Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts degree in the Philippines where she also completed all the academic requirements for a Masters degree in Business Administration. After graduating college, Jessica worked as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for Southeast Asian refugee children and later on as a Refugee Processing Specialist at the Philippine Refugee Processing Centre -UNHCR.

In 1993, Jessica was appointed as the Executive Assistant to the President and Office Manager of a very progressive Maritime Organization (AMOSUP) in the Philippines where she worked until the end of 2008. During her employment at AMOSUP, Jessica took two years off to serve as a Project Development Manager for The British Council, the United Kingdom’s principal agency for cultural relations abroad. For many years, Jessica was also the Chair of the AMOSUP Women’s Group and the Philippine Women’s Coordinating Committee which is composed of women from various transport industries in the Philippines under the International Transport Workers Federation, based in London.

In February 2009, Jessica immigrated to Canada and has since worked for various not-for-profit organizations including Kerby Centre and School of Alberta Ballet. Before joining Rana Law, Jessica worked as a Co-Manager for a Retirement Community in St. Albert.
